This truck came off the Peterbilt assembly line back in '86 as a 359 extended hood model. When we got a hold of the truck we gutted the cab and sleeper and had the exterior painted black. While paint and body was taking care of the “Black Out†color scheme, we re-railed from front to rear and now sits on a 280" WB Domex rails. 40K rears bolted to Pete low air leaf sits out back. Two (2) 135 gallon, two (2) 100 gallon tanks (one is a split 70/30) for a total of 440 gallons of fuel and 30 gallons of hydraulic fluid. The Dark Knight theme from front to back of the truck was applied to the grill surround, headlight bezels and brackets, Air cleaners, visor, mirrors and brackets, air and fuel tanks, step boxes, and full fenders. Before the cab is re-assembled a layer of Dynomat is laid down to help with noise suppression. The plumbing and electrical interface from the front to the rear of the truck has been replaced as well as the dash wiring was Kustom built. Since the customer is located in Alaska and electrical engine troubleshooting is minimal, a 3406B mechanical CAT will be resting between the frame rails. A Fuller 16918B transmission will be bolted to the back of the Caterpillar. Both will receive a Kustom paint and ceramic detail package prior to being installed. A Dynaflex 8" exhaust with pickett elbows will be installed to expel the fumes. The radiator, CAC and air intake piping kits will be Kustom built. A trailer saver was added behind the sliding 5th wheel for the customer to haul his horse trailer. The truck will be complete with a 5 camera video system with backup camera. Prior to heading north the truck will be going to AA Truck Sleeper in Fort Worth, Texas to have a custom 96" sleeper installed. A 5 port Kustom Coolant Manifold will handle all the coolant distribution for the truck. After the sleeper is installed it will make its way back up to Kustom Truck for the headache rack installation and finally headed north to Alaska.
